Good afternoon, darlings!

“If music be the food of love, play on.” is something I say to myself often. Music is such an integral part of our lives, and for many it’s the lifeblood that keeps us going. This week at Pretty Disturbia, we’re delving into all things music and celebrating the many different genres that we all enjoy!

For this week’s blog, I asked the Dollies what their current favourite song is, and why it’s their favourite. I compiled their answers into a little playlist for you all to enjoy (and marvel at the randomness of it!)

 PD Dollies Favourite Songs

Leesa B: I have a few fave songs! I’d say one of them is “Teardrops” by Womack and Womack.

Valentina: I choose a classic romantic Italian piece, which is also part of the soundtrack from The Godfather. It’s called “Parla Piu Piano” from “Placido Domingo”. I would say that the voice, the melody and the lyrics really just connect with my heart.

Milla: It depends completely what mood I am in, but I would probably have to say “Let’s Dance” by David Bowie is one of my favourites as it was playing when me and my now fiance had our first kiss.

Grace: I’ve got to say my favourite song is “Parents” by Yungblood and Chloe Noone because it’s about fighting social norms and unapologetically being yourself, not caring about what other people think of you. It’s a song that’s helped me be comfortable with who I am.

Leesa D: My favourite song really does depend on what mood I’m in, but my go-to song is “BYOB” by System Of A Down. They are my all-time favourite band and that’s my favourite song of theirs.

As you can see, the Dollies have hugely varied tastes in music and which songs really make us tick!

For me, I’d have to say my favourite song is “You Love Us” by Manic Street Preachers. The Manics are such an important band to me, and this song in particular is just fuelled by the kind of angst and arrogance reserved for those in their late teens. It’s a song I listen to when I need an instant confidence boost!

What’s your favourite song of all time? Let us know on our socials! Keep your eyes peeled on our FacebookInstagram, or Twitter for our Questions Of The Day appearing on our socials all week! Stay safe, stay beautiful, and most importantly stay happy.

Kisses, PD Dolly Han xxx
