Hey Peeps,

As we come to the end of a year full of surprises and hard work, here at Pretty Disturbia we started to reflect on some of the positives we have gained from a tough year and two lockdowns! This year has been so tough for so many and despite the challenges faced by many we hope you can feel inspired by our positives from lockdown and carry them forward into the New Year.

  1. Don’t you just love being outdoors now?

Here at Pretty Disturbia we have all fallen in love with our local landscapes. For many of us exploring our local area was the only chance to get out of the house. Since masks have become a more permanent fixture in our lives, whether you live in the city or the country we have all learnt to appreciate fresher and cleaner air when we take our masks off.

  1. Spending time with our loved ones has been a huge bonus for so many people. Either forming support bubbles or spending time with your significant others and children at home has been so sacred for so many.

  1. As life shutdown and we were confined to our houses the pennies stayed in our bank accounts allowing many people the opportunity to start saving money and put it towards a treat when the world starts to ease again.

  1. DIY has been a huge project for many people. From decorating the house to upcycling furniture, making our homes better than ever has been a real treat for so many people and helped to make our locked down homes more enjoyable than before.

  1. As lounging around the house has become an activity for many of us, discovering comfortable loungewear is now more important than ever. The right piece of loungewear can transform your wardrobe and it’s always a mission to transform loungewear for a work zoom call!

  1. Working from home has allowed many of us to regain a balance between our work and family lives, whether it be cooking a special lunch with your family between work calls or spending time with your little ones, flexible working has been a benefit to so many!

  1. Exploring our home cooking skills has been an opportunity to explore new cultures and improve our cooking skills. From learning to poach an egg from cooking a 3-course meal- home cooking has brought a new lust of life to many households!

  1. Getting creative with children’s activities has been a huge creative outlet for families in lockdown. From papier-mâché to t-shirt designs and painting, giving children a creative outlet has sparked many families creative outlet!

We hope 2021 is a year and an opportunity for reflection and to carry on these positives from a very challenging year for everyone. Thank you for your support Peeps, we really are so grateful!

Watch out for 2021, it’s going to be a blast!

Love and kisses from P.D. Dolly Lou xx
