Hello, you beautiful people!
It’s a new week, which means new commitments for us all. Not everything about this week is new though, as we’re promoting sustainability and interior design on our socials! For those who may not know, we are affiliated with Alternative Interiors by Etra, bringing the quirky chic of Pretty Disturbia to your homes so your environment can also be pretty, but oh so disturbing!
Thrifted fashion has always been in the public conscience, but lately, overall sustainable living has seen a rise. Now more than ever, it’s important to be aware of how our consumption affects the environment. I’ve always been into upcycling furniture and homeware, and the same goes for fashion!
Tips for being stylish and sustainable:
- Trade ‘Em All! – Most towns and cities have Facebook pages where you can swap and sell items within your community. I’ve found this is a great way to bring new things into your home and spending little to no money!
- Quality Over Quantity – I like to focus on buying items that will last me a long time and can be temporarily customised.
- Jazz It Up – The best way to have one-of-a-kind bespoke fashion and furnishings is to get creative! Sewing, painting, knitting etc. are all great ways of adding to your own clothing or creating something completely new.
- Keep It Local – If you are looking to buy new, unique pieces for yourself or your home, shopping locally is the best way! To shop any of the pieces below, check out our Pretty Disturbia Homewear section!
Want to share your thrifted fashion and pretty but disturbing interiors? Don’t be shy, tag us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter! Look out for our Questions Of The Day appearing on our socials all week, and remember to stay safe!
